Now that a lot of the big stuff is done, it seems like we're not making much progress. But the electricians are allmost done, the heating is in, the a/c is ready, the windows & exterior doors are in, and supposedly the central vac is piped (I haven't seen it yet). This week has been all but wasted because the guys at Rocky Mtn. Power are lazy and want our meter to be on the north side of the house. The inspector and the electricians said it can go on the south side, but RMP won't budge. There will be homes to the south of us, so eventually they will have to go there anyway! The reason we don't want it on the north is because that is the side that you will see when you drive up to the house. We've already had the a/c guys move their stuff to the south side no problem. Oh well, I'm glad that I'm not the one that really has to deal with people like that. When this issue is resolved insulation will be done, then drywall and a whole new set of things to think about-colors! We're doing knotty alder cabinets but we haven't chosen a wood/stain for the hardwood floors. Any suggestions?
