Cannon Beach

The past two weeks we have enjoyed beautiful weather here in Vancouver. We had been waiting for a decent day to drive to the beach and last weekend was it. The forecast was for upper 70's on the coast so we went for it. It was gorgeous! The weather was perfect and the sand was amazing. The beach seemed to go on forever, especially with the tide out.

 Logan was in HEAVEN! He loved the beach so much. At first he ran back and forth to the water to build sandcastles.

 Well, Theron made sandcastles.

 Lydia loved basking on her chair. I'm just glad she was okay with sand between her toes.

 Later, Logan discovered wave chasing. He and Theron had a blast running back and forth. Soon, the waves came farther up the beach.

 One particular wave surprised us all and completely knocked Lydia over. Luckily, it was very shallow and Theron was right by her. We all had a good laugh, except Lydia who was completely done with the ocean. She wouldn't go near it for the rest of the day and told me to be careful and come back when I went out a little way.

 I didn't bring her a swimsuit (the freezing water) and her clean clothes were in the car. She is stubborn enough that she wouldn't wear Logan's shirt so she spent the rest of the time like this:

It was a pretty funny sight to see as we walked through town back to our car. She was just proud that she was helping out by carrying those buckets. We had a great day at the beach and are already planning to go back.
